Belgrade, 1999- ...after the War
My visit to Belgrade after the NATO-Yugoslavian war
05 - 09 October 1999

Acompanied with my grandmather Mila , I visited Belgrade few months after NATO bombardings .
All of our friends and relatives were fine and alive, althrough they were still under big
emotional and mental stress. Only three important buildings in the center of Belgrade were ruined
under NATO attacks.

Walking in the streets of Belgrade I saw that people are living in some kind of
"Ilusion of reality". People are demonstrating against Milosevic government every day
in the main square called "Trg Republike" (on the following picture ). They have a political
movement against Milosevic called "Alliance for Changes" or in Serbian "Savez za Promene" - an
opositional coalition against communism . Leaders of this mouvment are :
Vuk Drashkovik and Zoran Gingic .

One evening - my grandmother and myself - we visited this square and took part in theese
daily demonstrations for changes - against Milosevic and his communists .
It was funny and it turn us back in time (11 months ago) when we had the same demonstrations
in Skopje against our communist government .

This is a picture from the "face of the place"
